Ted Evans joined Clearpath in November 2009 and has served as an esteemed Senior Consultant. He has over 15 years in the IT industry working in various consulting and in-house positions specializing in EMC storage and VMware. Currently, Ted currently holds certifications as a Cisco CCNA; VMware VCP; and an EMC Proven Professional. Working primarily in pre-sales, Ted stays focused on the big picture of business’s IT challenges. He enjoys working with customers to design solutions that will not only provide immediate value, but are also scalable and will grow with them over time. Ted believes in the coming years there will be a continued focus on simplifying IT for the generalist, “With shrinking budgets, companies have been losing the ability to dedicate resources to specific IT functions. Finding ways to provide streamlined configuration, management, and monitoring tools for those that wear multiple hats will be a focus.” Ted feels the ability to allow customers to achieve higher uptimes through the disaster avoidance and disaster recovery solutions is the most exciting opportunity virtualization offers. He anticipates that as “the volume of data that companies are required to retain continues to grow, solutions that address how to efficiently protect, prioritize, and organize that data will continue to be invaluable.” A Philadelphia native, Ted has been living and working in the D.C. area since 1989.
